  1. Ball Out of Play

The ball is out of play when:.

  • when the whole of the ball completely passes over the goal line or touch line, whether on the ground or in the air,

  • or when the game has been stopped by the referee

  1. Ball in Play

The ball is in play at all other times, including :

  1. if it rebounds from a goal post, cross bar or corner flag and remains in the field of play

  2. if it strikes the referee or assistant referee without leaving  the field of play

  3. If there is an apparent infringement, but no signal has been given by the referee.
